Fractured  Meridian

1. Hero Section

Fractured Meridian

One world. Two realities.

A narrative-driven first-person shooter following Marcus Karev, a burned operator caught between two truths — a paradise built on control, and a wasteland that's honest about what it survived. Every step across the Meridian is a choice.

2. The World — Solenne

Solenne was once a single nation. Then came The Fracture — and the world split into two truths that no longer speak to each other.

To the West lies a gleaming, hyper-advanced paradise: glass towers, spotless streets, surveillance drones gliding overhead in perfect formation. Order here isn't earned, it's enforced. The Corporate Authority's presence is everywhere, and everywhere feels watched. Life is safe, comfortable, and controlled down to the last detail — a paradise built on the illusion that nothing is ever allowed to go wrong.

To the East lies the wasteland — radiation-scarred, collapsed, and honest about exactly what it is. Toxic green fog rolls through cracked streets. Settlements like Kresova survive on scavenged supplies, burning braziers, and the stubborn refusal to disappear. Nobody here pretends things are fine. They don't have to — the ruins speak for themselves.

Marcus Karev doesn't get to stay neutral about any of this. Every step across the Meridian — the line that divides one Solenne from the other — is a choice about which truth he's willing to live inside.

3. The Story / Premise

Marcus Karev spent his life serving a system that used him up and threw him away. Once a Ghost Directorate operator, he's now just another survivor caught in the wreckage of a war he never agreed to keep fighting — burned, discarded, and left to find his own way through a world that no longer has a place for men like him.

Guided only by ARIA, an AI whose loyalties are never fully clear, Marcus moves between Western Solenne's cold, controlled paradise and the radiation-scarred honesty of the East — searching for a way out, a way forward, or maybe just a reason to keep going. Along the way, the people of Kresova will decide for themselves whether he's someone worth trusting.

This isn't a story about saving the world. It's about one man trying to survive what's left of it — and figuring out, one choice at a time, who he still is underneath everything the system took from him.

4. Characters

Marcus Karev

A burned Ghost Directorate operator, used up and discarded by the very system he once served. Marcus isn't a chosen hero — he's a survivor trying to find a way out of a war he never agreed to keep fighting. Weathered, guarded, and carrying more damage than he shows, Marcus moves through Solenne's fractured world with the practiced calm of someone who's already lost everything once.

ARIA

The AI in Marcus's ear — his only constant companion, and the one presence he can't fully trust. ARIA reads the world faster than Marcus can, offering guidance, warnings, and commentary through every mission. But her motives are her own, and she's never quite told him everything she knows. Whose side is she really on? Even Marcus isn't sure.

Mira

A survivor of Kresova who doesn't hand out trust easily — and for good reason. Mira is cautious, sharp, and unwilling to risk what little safety she's built for a stranger with a gun. But loyalty in the wasteland is earned through action, not words, and what Marcus does for the people around her will decide whether she ever truly opens up.

Babka Irena

The quiet keeper of Kresova. Elderly, watchful, and utterly unreadable, Babka Irena has lived through everything the town has survived — and she knows more about Kresova's secrets than anyone left alive. She tells you nothing directly. She doesn't have to. Everything about her says she's already decided whether you're worth the truth.

Kovacs

A Kresova local who finds himself trapped and hunted by an SCA surveillance drone, with nowhere left to run. Desperate and afraid in the moment Marcus finds him, Kovacs becomes something else entirely once the threat is gone — grateful, forthcoming, and willing to hand over everything he knows about Corporate Authority movements in the region.

5. Gameplay Overview

Fractured Meridian is a first-person shooter built around tension, survival, and the relationships you build along the way.

Fight through wave-based combat encounters using a mix of ranged weapons and Marcus's charged Super Shot, scavenging ammo and supplies as you go. Every fight carries weight — health and ammo are limited, and running in reckless never comes cheap.

Between battles, Kresova's survivors offer something combat can't: information, trust, and a reason to keep pushing forward. Dialogue and relationship systems mean NPCs like Mira and Babka Irena respond to what Marcus actually does, not just what he says — help someone, and doors open that stay closed to strangers.

ARIA rides along through it all, reading the world in Marcus's ear, offering guidance and commentary that shifts depending on how the mission — and the story — unfolds.

Explore both sides of the Meridian, from Western Solenne's tightly controlled zones to the scavenged settlements and toxic ruins of the East, each with its own dangers, its own rules, and its own truth about what Solenne has become.
